In this article I have put together the list of BAdIs that relate to working with packaging specifications (PS). Personally I have only had occasion to use a couple of them in practice.

  • /SCWM/ES_PS_COND_EDITOR Logical Conditions in SCM Basis

/SCWM/EX_PS_COND_CONTAINER

The BAdI is called when the logical condition editor is started (transaction /N/SCWM/PSCT6) and is used to define the logical fields.  There are several standard implementations.

  • /SCWM/ES_PS_CORE    Packaging Specification Core

/SCWM/EX_PS_CORE_VALIDATE

The BAdI is used for additional validation of packaging specifications or to trigger follow-on operations. It has the following methods:

·         LEVEL_VALIDATE - called when a level of the packaging specification is validated, and used for additional validation

·         SET_PACKSPEC_REF – called after the packaging specification data has been read. Used to set the reference to the packaging specification object being worked on.

·         HEADER_VALIDATE - called when the header of the packaging specification is validated, and used for additional validation

·         CONTENT_VALIDATE - called when the content of the packaging specification is validated, and used for additional validation

·         BEFORE_SAVE - called before the packaging specification is saved, and used to trigger follow-on operations

·         AFTER_SAVE - called after the packaging specification has been saved, and used to trigger follow-on operations.

·         PREPARE_2ND_VERSION – called when the second version of the packaging specification is created, and used to adjust or validate it.

/SCWM/EX_PS_CORE_VALIDATE_EG

The BAdI is used for additional validation of packaging specifications. It has the following methods:

·         ELEMENT_VALIDATE - called when an element of the packaging specification is validated, and used for additional validation

·         SET_ELEMENTGROUP_REF - called after the packaging specification data has been read. Used to set the reference to the element group object being worked on.

·         ELEMENTGROUP_VALIDATE - called when an element group of the packaging specification is validated, and used for additional validation

/SCWM/EX_PS_CORE_VALIDATE_WS

The BAdI is used for additional validation of a work step in the packaging specification.

/SCWM/EX_PS_PARTLABEL_LIST

The BAdI is called when a product label is printed according to the packaging specification. It is used to change the label data. There is a fallback class.

/SCWM/EX_PS_PARTLABEL_PRINT

Called when labels are printed for a VAS order. Used to determine the text language and the printer. There is a fallback class.

/SCWM/EX_PS_PRINT_PACKSPEC_PDF

The BAdI is called when a label is printed for the packaging specification. It is used to convert the data and send it to the printer. There is a fallback class.

  • /SCWM/ES_PS_DET       Packaging Specification Determination

/SCWM/EX_PS_DET_DETERMINATION

The BAdI is called after the standard determination of the packaging specification based on the condition table, and is used to change the set of packaging specifications that were found.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DET_EVALUATING

The BAdI is called after the standard determination of the packaging specification (and after the BAdI /SCWM/EX_PS_DET_DETERMINATION) based on the logical conditions, and is used to change the set of packaging specifications that were found.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DET_F4_HLP

The BAdI is called when the value list for the fields of the condition table is requested. It is used to provide the list for your own Z fields in the condition table. There is an active standard implementation for some of the standard fields.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DET_PREPARE

The BAdI is called when packaging specification determination is started, and is used to determine the values of the Z fields that were added to the condition table.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DET_SAVE

The BAdI is called after the condition records have been saved, and is used to trigger your own follow-on operations. There is a sample implementation of the BAdI.

  • /SCWM/ES_PS_DISTR   Packaging Specification Distribution

/SCWM/EX_PS_DISTR_CONDITION

The BAdI is called when the condition records of a packaging specification are distributed or received, and is used to change the data being sent or received.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DISTR_ELEMGROUP

The BAdI is called when the element groups of a packaging specification are distributed or received, and is used to change the data being sent or received.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DISTR_PACKSPEC

The BAdI is called when the packaging specification itself is distributed or received, and is used to change the data being sent or received.

/SCWM/EX_PS_DISTR_WORKSTEP

The BAdI is called when the work steps of a packaging specification are distributed or received, and is used to change the data being sent or received.

  • /SCWM/ES_PS_UI          Packaging Specification User Interface

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_CDOC

The BAdI is used to add your own change documents or to adjust the existing ones.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_CDOC_DISPLAY

The BAdI is used to change the way change documents are displayed.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_COND_RECORD

The BAdI is used to adapt the automatic creation of condition records from a packaging specification template. There is a fallback class.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_CONTENT

A BAdI for modifying the content screen of the packaging specification – to display material data and the subordinate packaging specification. There is a fallback class.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_ELEMENT

A BAdI for modifying the elements screen of the packaging specification.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_F4

The BAdI is used to adjust the logic of the standard search help in the packaging specification maintenance transaction. There is a fallback class.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_HEADER

A BAdI for modifying the header screen of the packaging specification.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_LEVEL

A BAdI for modifying the levels screen of the packaging specification.

/SCWM/EX_PS_UI_LEVEL_BEST_FIT
